Hi my name is Jo. I opened Silk in November 2007 following my wedding in July of that year.  Although my wedding dress was beautiful, I really didn’t have a great experience choosing it. I expected to be made to feel very special, to receive lots of attention, to be offered a fabulous selection of gowns and to have some fun, but none of that happened. I realised that I probably wasn’t the only bride to expect more so I set out to offer it myself, and, judging by the number of happy brides that walk out of our door with a dress in their arms, a smile on their face and a “Silk hug” to send them on their way, I think we might have it just right!

Of course none of this would be possible without our fabulous designers. We have stunning collections from designers including Pronovias, Jenny Packham, Stephanie Allin, Sassi Holford, David Fielden and Blue Bridalwear.  We have a great selection of styles and there really is something for everyone.  Our prices range from £1500 to £2800, and we also have a few dresses at around £1100.
